There are numerous Honda Civic models available at your nearest San Luis Obispo dealer - Sunset Honda.  However, Australia is in need.

The Land Down Under is getting ready for the Japanese auto maker to introduce new Civic models specially made for Australia. Honda plans on releasing the A VTi-L (which is their base model) along with Civic Sport, and a five-door hatchback version.

Firstly, the 2012 Civic VTi-L, the model boasts large amounts of standard features, but still drops pricing roughly $3700 under last year's model. Next up is Civic Sport, which will make up 25% of volume coming from the auto maker, and begin at $27,990. There will also be a small amount of Civic Hybrids coming to the country, starting off with an MSRP of $35,990.

Some of the changes being made start with the Civic VTi-L. It'll still boast a range of standard features but get a price cut of $3700 compared to last year's model. The Civic Sport, which makes up nearly 25% of the brand's volume produced will start at $27,990. The country will also get a limited-number of Civic Hybrids that'll start at $35,990. Hatchback pricing has yet to be announced as they won't be released in Australia until July, but will come with a gas or diesel option.

Stephen Collins, Honda Australia's Director confirms that other models "will be sold with either a 1.8 liter petrol or 2.2 liter diesel engine." Honda predicts about 500 models to be sold monthly.

The latest Honda Insight Hybrid, along with the Honda Jazz Hybrid will both also be available throughout the continent. Honda Australia hopes to regain their 2010 sales numbers with about 40,000 units sold per year.
